Marketing globally is one of the fastest growing industries. With this qualification, you will learn what drives a business, you get to be creative and strategic at the same time. Once qualified, your broad understanding of marketing and management will enable you to make sound decisions by collecting, analysing, organising and critically evaluating financial and marketing information. A career in marketing appeals to a wide variety of people because the job roles within the sector are so varied – there’s something for everyone. You can use your degree to progress into careers in marketing, communications, sales, PR, advertising, consultancy, management and much more. Plus, you’ll have the core business skills to pursue careers outside of marketing should you wish to.
Our Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Management Science is a versatile degree. It allows you to build a solid foundation of business and marketing skills as well as affording you the opportunity to develop focused skills where you have the choice to major in either Supply Chain Management, Project Management or Sales Management. All three of these majors are aligned to skills shortages for qualified experts in these fields, which makes our graduates extremely employable.
Once you have completed this qualification you can continue your learning with IMM Graduate School and apply to do any one of our postgraduate degree programmes. Our Bachelor of Philosophy (BPhil) Honours in Marketing Management for example, will allow you to add marketing to your list of specialisations.

Programme Exit Level Outcomes
Once you have completed your degree you will be capable of:
- Demonstrating an understanding of a broad scope of management knowledge and how it applies to the disciplines of management, marketing, and supply chain management.
- Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of knowledge regarding economics, financial management, research as applied to marketing and supply chain activities in relation to the organisation and the business environment in general.
- Collecting, analysing, organising and critically evaluating relevant economic, financial and marketing related information to make sound decisions in the organisation.
- Finding solutions to management, marketing, operational and supply chain problems in organisations.
- Evaluating, applying, and integrating marketing and supply chain knowledge and skills and general business principles to real life situations taking into account societal, ethical, and cultural considerations
- Conceptualising and designing strategic business and marketing plans and be able to evaluate the success of the plans.
- Producing and communicating information in a business environment with respect to conventions around intellectual property, copyright and plagiarism.
- Critically analysing contemporary marketing information and evaluating the potential future outcomes of business, marketing and supply chain management decisions.
- Demonstrating an understanding of the scope of responsibilities required of a management position in the marketing, supply chain, human resources operations, project management functions, and understanding the accountability to senior management in an organisation.
