The IMM Graduate School Research Hub hosted a webinar in celebration of Africa Day on May 25, 2023.

The panel of distinguished experts, including Dr Petrus de Kock and Ms Busi Mabuza, discussed the global economic, market, and geopolitical dynamics affecting developed and developing economies. They also focused on the progress of the African Union in implementing the African Continental Free Trade Area and reflected on the achievements of the BRICS over the past fifteen summits. The aim was to gather expert perspectives on the development of the BRICS as a global governance institution amidst turbulent global changes. The event was part of the institution's strategic objective to enhance research output and engagement on crucial issues impacting societies, economies, and businesses.
