A 2025 study involving 407 supply-chain professionals working in small and medium-sized enterprises in Gauteng, the Free State and KwaZulu-Natal found that alertness, velocity and robustness positively influenced supply-chain agility. Visibility was not statistically significant within that model.
The finding should be interpreted within the study’s geographic and methodological limits, rather than treated as proof that visibility is unimportant to supply-chain resilience. These findings reinforce the value of proactive supply-chain design.

This also includes professionals already working in supply chain roles who hold an undergraduate qualification in a different field and want to formalise their supply chain expertise.
Six compulsory modules cover applied supply chain management, procurement and strategic sourcing, international trade and logistics, sustainability and risk management in supply chains, supply chain technologies, and an applied supply chain project.
Graduates who achieve a final average of 60% or higher may qualify for admission to the Master’s Research and Proposal Writing module, subject to the school’s admission requirements.
